Outside Sales Manager

Marine Specialties (“MSI”) has been a leading marine services contractor in Georgia and South Carolina for over 35 years. We represent the best brands in shorefront living and strive to provide our customers with peace of mind for their lakefront property. We are seeking an energetic and highly motivated Outside Sales Manager to join our team. This individual should be a self-starter, and excited by all thing’s lake living.

Position: Sales Manager

Qualifications:

  • 5-10 years of sales experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or related field (preferred)
  • Willingness to travel to client meetings and industry events.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferable

Requirements:

  • Proven track record in developing brand awareness and customer and partner relationships.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
  • General Construction operation experience a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

New Market Development:

  • Responsible for developing new lake market territories within Georgia and South Carolina
  • Develop a network of contacts within each lake market that consists of realtors, home builders, developers, builders associations, marina’s, HOA’s and boat dealers
  • Work with management to develop sales programs for these partnership groups with the purpose of increasing Marine Specialties market share
  • Perform market diligence on lake markets and track existing competitors as well as new market entrants
  • Oversee and act as the project lead for all sales in these markets including sale origination to completion of the project. This will require working directly with the divisional sales managers at the facility in Gainesville, coordinating labor with the General Manager, managing scheduling and timing with third party vendors and permitting requirements with the counties and lake regulators.
  • Have a weekly standing meeting with the General Manager to keep the General Manager in the loop on all active sales calls, sale pipeline and marketing initiatives.
  • Build, deliver and track sales estimates for customers in our CRM
  • Attend partner events and participate in local boat shows
