Job Title: Service Manager

Location: Gainesville, GA

Reports To: Sales Director/General Manager

Position Type: Full-Time | Exempt

Job Overview:

The Service Manager oversees repair services and parts operations. This role supports the sales process while managing day-to-day service activities, including estimating, scheduling, customer follow-up, and coordination of service crews.

Working closely with Sales and Field Execution teams, the Service Manager ensures work is completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards while delivering a strong customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

Service Operations

  • Manage daily service schedules, crew assignments, and job oversight.
  • Review project timelines and communicate updates to service teams.
  • Adjust work plans to meet customer and operational needs.
  • Oversee service quality, documentation, and reporting.

Sales & Customer Support

  • Assist with estimating, quoting, and customer follow-up.
  • Coordinate with the sales team on expectations and project needs.

Team Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and develop service technicians and crews.
  • Set goals and support accountability with Human Resources and leadership.
  • Conduct performance reviews and support employee development.

Parts & Materials

  • Manage parts ordering and material coordination.
  • Source, purchase, or deliver materials to job sites as needed.

Issue Resolution

  • Address escalated customer or employee concerns.
  • Coordinate complex matters with leadership and HR.
  • Communicate outcomes to appropriate stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required.
  • Associate’s degree or higher; we will also consider equivalent experience as a service manager or similar role preferred.
  • Experience in one or more of the following:
    • Service or repair industries
    • Fabrication, welding, or technician roles
    • Project management or customer service
    • Transportation or fleet management
    • HVAC or automotive service
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable MVR.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOT physical card.

Work Setting

  • Combination of office, field, and waterfront settings.
  • Regular standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 35 lbs.
  • Work on or near water, including operating a boat if needed.
  • Driving company vehicles and towing trailers.
  • Exposure to outdoor weather, noise, and equipment.
  • Occasional extended hours or Saturday work as needed.
